There are only around 155 Certified Health Data Analysts (CHDA) under the wings of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) worldwide. Of this number, a Filipino is now considered to be the first and the only CHDA credentialed professional in the Middle East.

Richmond Austria, a product of the University of the Philippines Manila, has ten years solid experience in research and development. At a young age of 32, he is also a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) by the US Healthcare Quality Certification Commission and a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt by the American Society for Quality (ASQ SSGB).

His greatest achievement so far is in facilitating the establishment of the world’s first JCI network accreditation of the Ambulatory Healthcare Services (AHS), part of the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), where he is presently connected as Senior Health Data Analyst Officer.
