Entrepreneur bares secrets of a happy life

Rosie Punzalan-Aquino, Founder, Philippine Tailoring Sharjah, United Arab Emirates

Rosie Punzalan Aquino is known in the Filipino community as a successful car dealer and an entrepreneur. A compassionate lady, Rosie’s knack for business comes from perseverance and luck.

Rosie is among a children of 8 born to a middle-class family in Manila. Her mother instilled in her the value of hard work from an early age.

At 17, Rosie fell in love and married a man who she thought was everything in her life. She was then studying Industrial Engineering at Mapua Institute of Technology in Intramuros, Manila, and later gave birth to her first child at 20. Unlike other young moms, she was set to complete her university education at any cost, which included starting her own business. She sold small items to her schoolmates to earn money. When she graduated from Mapua, Rosie had her baby daughter in her arms.
