Opportunities seem boundless for people who strive for excellence in their chosen field of profession.

For this lady extra-ordinaire, climbing the ladder of corporate success in male-dominated Middle East is no easy game but with commitment and dedication, a Filipino can hold on to their dreams.

Yes, we are proud to have one in the person of Gina Tuazon Salazar who is currently the Human Resource Advisor for Middle East and Asia Pacific of the Odfjell Drilling, an oil and gas company. She is strictly responsible for the control and implementation of all of the company policies and procedures for the United Arab Emirates and personnel worldwide.

An independent worker who possesses ability to work well under pressure and meet the task deadlines, she always tells herself to prioritize job responsibilities in an effective and organized manner.

No wonder, she holds the distinction as the first recipient of “Excellence in Community Leadership” award for three years in a row- 2005, 2006 and 2007 given by the Consulate General of the Philippines in Dubai. She was picked as one of the 2010 recipients of “WOW Pinoy Achiever” organized by Lulu Hypermarket Group for having done major achievements to the Filipino community in UAE.

In 2007, she was nominated to the Bagong Bayani Award by the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai representing the 300,000 overseas workers in UAE. In 2011, she was nominated as one of the “Top 10 Filipino Achievers.”
