From a receptionist, she was promoted to Front Office Supervisor. Today, Eileen L. Guerra is Senior Sales Manager of Cityseasons Al Hamra Abu Dhabi.
Climbing the corporate ladder, she worked as Sales Executive, Assistant Sales Manager then as Sales Manager. In the gulf, it was all hard work, commitment and dedication and in her own language, “the respect and credibility of a Filipino woman pays off.”
At 33, Eileen L. Guerra is now on top of her professional career as Senior Sales Manager at Cityseasons Al Hamra Abu Dhabi, a 4 star member hotel of City Seasons Group of Hotels. Located at Electra Street in the capital, the hotel features 310 elegant and spacious rooms and suites with a choice of room categories. City Seasons Al Hamra retains a calm and relaxing atmosphere in the midst of the bustling UAE Capital, whilst offering a quick and easy access to the cities major shopping and leisure centers.
“I feel blessed for having reached this career of mine especially with a lot of competition in the market. It’s still a long way to go as I have a dream to become an entrepreneur. I still have to learn more and find my faith and destiny. My greatest achievement is overcoming my fear of failure and this gives me the sense of living. Secondly, I finished my Master in Business Administration with the help my classmate and my supportive professor Dr. Ed Malagapo of PCU Graduate Program Middle East.”
To her fellow compatriots overseas, these she has to say: “Love, enjoy your job and be wise with what you have earned. The most important thing is to have faith in your dream and never give up. Don’t listen to what other people say against you. You are your own achievement Be with the people who inspire you and will lead you to all the divine connections. You have to be sensitive and be grateful of every single things you have. Don’t stop learning and don’t keep yourself stagnant. Be motivated in all what you are doing.
There have been praises for Eileen. Armando Bonaccorsi, Railways Projects Director at Al Mobty Contracting Company, sums up with these kind words: “Eileen would be a great asset to any company. She also has a great drive and passion for her work. Though she was an asset to Cityseasons sales efforts, she was also extraordinarily helpful in other areas. She has been nothing short of an exemplary sales manager.”
Today, the Filipino Community in UAE considers her as one of the Filipino Achievers and Trailblazers in the Emirates because of her noteworthy achievements.
