Taking that big leap of fate of living her dream really created a big impact on her daily life. “It was only December, 2014 when I decided to move out of my comfort zone and follow the career path I’ve always dreamt of. Relocating to a fast paced and ambitious place like Dubai is indeed a struggle especially with me since all my life I’m used to being so dependent with my family.”

“It has always been my dream to work in the airline industry ever since I was in college however opportunities were quite so bleak so I decided to pursue a different path. I was living a comfortable life with my family in Abu Dhabi and having a stable and well paying job however when I received a call from the Emirates Group, I said yes in a heartbeat. I guess first love really never dies.”

She was at first a Senior Human Resources Assistant handling government medical applications and pre employment medical approvals for Cabin Crews and other joiners across the Emirates Group both local and abroad recruits. “I was also tasked to assist in the weekly Cabin Crew inductions. We’re only five Filipinos in the Human Resources Onboarding Team. After five months, I was moved to another team within the department to handle Cabin Crew employment entry permit applications. I was not a walk in the park as we have hundreds of joiners in a week and you have to keep up with the deadlines.”

After three months, she received a NAJM Appreciation Award for handling 300+ Cabin Crew visa applications without errors. In January of this year, she was promoted as a Human Resources Coordinator. “Currently, I am handling the onboarding formalities of non-Cabin Crew abroad recruits within the Emirates Group. I have received another NAJM Appreciation Award for being a team player.”

Today, the Filipino Community in UAE considers her as one of the Filipino Achievers and Trailblazers in the Emirates because of her noteworthy achievements.
