One of the successful Filipino entrepreneurs in the United Arab Emirates today is a professional web application developer, artist, digital HD video editor and commercial photographer with office at Dubai Media City.

In 2003, Milo Torres started on his own and got his license as TECOM Partner in 2004. Since then, he has been providing services in professional website development, online database applications, digital imaging and other internet related business development solutions.

The Milo Torres Photography now offers various services in digital media such as professional product and portrait photography, company profile design and development including video, brochure, multi-media, website and corporate event photo and video coverage.

Milo’s advantage is his over nine years of experience in the digital media, operating under TECOM not to mention the high-quality service and delivery at affordable price. Having been a corporate photographer for more than ten years, he has done a lot of projects and will be doing lots more in the future.

He’s proud to have excellently serviced clients such as Dubai Duty Free, Grant Thornton International, PATCHI,  Siemens, Nihon Kohden, Geberit, British Business Group, MAERSK Lines, SOCCEREX, Venture Communications, Atout France, Renaissance Hotel, Crowne Plaza Hotel, Pico International, University of Wollongong in Dubai, Modo Milano, AEROVISTA, Forever Living Products, Leo Burnett (LeoComm), Van Leeuwen, Masaood John Brown, APL Management  JLT, Waagner Biru Gulf, Sky Team and Air France, among others.

Through the years, he has developed himself and invested in personal development, built up his customers and maintained excellent service skills.

His service rates always depend on the projects. “I don’t normally post my rates online, but I do have some normal rates for specific type of jobs like for example a half-day of event coverage.”

Milo does not use his own personal logo in his photos as he is an official partner of Dubai Media City under TECOM. He is using a corporate logo of Dubai Media City instead. For him, logo is important in any business. This is the reason why he always keeps his license to be under Dubai Media City.

While he considers himself as a generalist with photography as his source of income, he loves to do more projects on interiors and exteriors, corporate profiling, product shoot and corporate events.

He graduated at Mapua Institute of Technology on March 1986 with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering and passed the E.C.E. Board examinations. He continued his study at Access Institute of Computer Technology and earned a Diploma as Computer Engineer in 1988.

But it was not easy. After he worked as Electronics Engineer in Makati City from 1988 to 1993, Milo left for Dubai in 1993. Luckily for him, he landed as Senior Electronics Engineer at Al Ahlia General Trading Company from 1993 to 1997. In 1997, he transferred to Inter-Consort Mercantile & Investment as Senior Engineer, a post he held until 2003.

He is one of the founders and one time president of the Overseas Pinoy Professional Photographers Society (OPPPS).
