A proud son of Marikina City, the country’s shoe capital, Rommel S. Malubag is Regional Manager for Filipino Institute of Sites Power Training Center.
Changed a lot
Rommel has been working as a multi-media artist for more than 10 years. Through the years, he stressed that United Arab Emirates has evolved as a masterpiece. “It changed a lot. Personally, I find more opportunities. There is a big difference from where I came from.”
His day is exciting and fun. “Meeting other people is something that excites me every day. I make sure to accommodate and address all the requirements from trainers to ideas. Filipino Institute is an organization made for Filipinos who want to upgrade their knowledge and skills through short courses we offer. As one of the founders of Filipino Institute, I was able to maximize my talent and skills in putting up this institute. We help Filipinos level up their skills by providing affordable but high quality education.
To his fellow kababayan, this is his piece of advice. “Never stop learning, love what you are doing and always put god first in everything that you do.”
Building better future
He was born on July 16, 1980 in Pasay City. His mom is Merlinda Solima Malubag. He has three siblings, namely: Iris S. Malubag-Arsenio, Head Nurse at Polymedic Hospital; Grace S. Malubag-Eusebio, Housekeeping Manager at Dusit Hotel and Rogelio S. Malubag, a Bank Teller. He was educated at Concepcion Elementary School and Roosevelt College (for his secondary education). He obtained his degree in Bachelor of Science in Fine Arts major in Advertising at the Far Eastern University.
In 2007, he got married to Ailene M. Malubag, a Finance Manager from whom he has two kids, Raven M. Malubag, 7; and, Gwayne Marxiala M. Malubag, 3. “I have two lovely and beautiful daughters. My wife is a professional accountant.”
“My greatest achievement is my daughters. I am enjoying my work along with my wife and together we are building better future for our daughters and family.”●
