Before trying my luck overseas, I worked as a journalist for various newspapers and then, as Information Officer and speech writer for government officials in the Philippines. Moving to cosmopolitan Dubai was a dream turned reality. But it was not a delightful episode the way I imagined. I realized my life dramatically changed.
Just like countless migrants who have chosen to rise and shine under the shadow of glittering monarchies in Middle East, my troubled soul can be likened to that of a weary camel wandering in hot sands in search of that true path towards a pond of refreshing water.
The challenges of toiling and sweating in the scorching desert heat away from the comforts of a nipa hut in my sleepy hometown never posed as stumbling blocks for me to courageously pursue my enduring flair for writing – this time, with heralded passion and even ardent zeal.
While this blog is all about patriotic souls – people who have touched my inner self with their stories, I will be posting travel articles from time to time.
Thank you for dropping by. Please connect with me via Facebook. I hope to hear from you.
